Gameloft a worldwide publisher and developer of video games for mobile phones, is seeking a Sports Game Designer to join their existing talent pool. Previous hit games include Derek Jeter Pro Baseball 2006, Asphalt 3: Street Rules™ 3D, And 1® Streetball, Reggie Bush Pro Football, Rayman Kart, Kobe Bryant Pro Basketball 2008 and NFL 2009!

The Nitty-Gritty:

[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]As a key member of the development team, you’ll be in charge of the sports game design from initial concept to final delivery.
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Design sports game, level layouts and gameplay content for team sports, racing, individual sports, sports simulators, and even extreme sports.
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Play and research competitor’s games and benchmarks.
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Lead a team of artists and programmers to ensure that the game’s creative vision is fulfilled.
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Link up with imaginative design teams around the world to create new sports game titles.

Must-haves/know-how:

[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Ability to create a feasible sports game model based on a variety of tools and methods.
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Thorough understanding of video games and their commercial appeal to the general public.
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Have a true passion on different types of sports in general.
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Solid observation skills to dissect aspects of a sport and capture its feel in a game.
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Think creatively and work well independently and as a team player.
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Ability to clearly share your vision and motivate coworkers to make your vision come true.

You’ll earn brownie points if you have:

[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Experience with design software (MS Word, Excel, Visio, Adobe Photoshop, Maya, etc.).
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Familiarity with C++ and JAVA.
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Strong knowledge of wireless devices (cell phones, iPhones, etc.).
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]Experience designing published sports games titles
[FONT=Symbol]·[/FONT]A love for both video games and sports alike!
