Just wondering how to go about recreating this spray paint effect in Photoshop (see attached file!)
looks to be a glow with a noise filter added with a slight gaussian blur. I will try it when I get home if you have not found a solution…That is off the top of my head without PS in front of me.
If you want to do that using a bruss and not a filter, open up the brush dialog, use the ‘scattering’ options with a 1-2px round brush and check the ‘airbrush’ checkbox…
If it still doesnt show up right tyry tweaking all the brush options (noise -dual brush, different brush shapes etc…)
Otherwise as DDD said a noised-up and slightly blurred glow would work
I think DDD was on the money, the layer effect is the way to do, probably a outter glow, colour set to white, add some noise , about 30-40 spread, about 30-40 size, play around with the setting. and to bump it up some more make a duplicate of that layer below it get rid of the noise in the outter glow and less spread so you can get a more solid whiter border around the subject as the above attachment.
