just signed up - been reading this site for quite a while now…just wanna say thanks for all the help.
i’ve been a flash designer/developer for a while now, but one thing i never settled on was a “template” stage size.
as i’m sure all of you know, a lot of factors determine how your stage will interact with the end user, for example, if you decide to have the movie resize for different resolutions, or want to keep it the actual stage size.
my problem is, i think that the 100% scaling feature of flash is great for usability, but i love the crispness of pixel fonts, and as you know, scaling & pixel fonts just don’t mix.
finally for my question…
has anyone figured out a good “standard” stage size, or even a technique that allows for maximum usability (for 640x480, 800x600 etc.) and at the same time allow for the use of pixel fonts?
any suggestions would help ease my tormented brain.
