Stoping a symbol movie clip

I tried [AS]MovieClip.stop();[/AS] and it did not stop it. then i tired properties (instance of tween 1) and that did not work.

If you want the movie clip to stop, just place a stop action on its timeline. :-\

just type in stop (I am clueless when it comes to actionscript)
