BTW - this site has long been a source of knowledge for me. Great job guys. I’m using the image panning effect described in http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash8/interactive_image_pan.htm. I’m using it to make a multi-layered panorama of a cityscape with layers of building that move at different speeds.
The tute worked great. The only thing is, I need the movement to stop when the user stops moving the mouse. I know the movement is based on the mouse position and the stage width. But is it possible to stop the movement anytime the user holds the mouse still WITHOUT a mouse click, rollover or any other action?
I hope you guys can help.
