okay… here’s the weird part.
when i copy and paste the text from Word into InDesign the PDF looks great in flash, and the scrollPane behaves properly. it looks like this:

when i IMPORT the word document into InDesign, the resulting PDF looks great in flash, but the scrollPane goes haywire. Notice the scroll bars:
any ideas on why this is happening?
i would love to use the import function because it keeps all of the writer’s formatting. (there’s tons of italics, bolds)
