Does anyone here know of a way to get windows media or quicktime for that matter, to stream properly over the web? The only thing I have been able to find is that you need a streaming server with the proper software installed to make full use of the great streaming available with windows media format.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? The reason I ask is we do a monthly webcast here at work for a very large client and right now we use flash with a very extensive pre-loader. The movies are cut up into several pieces and they all pre-load as you are watching the webcast. Our problem is, we can’t really get THAT great of quality out of it without making the files huge. I know with some exparament’s we have done here at work with Windows Media, you can get very nice quality at a much smaller size than that of flash.
Any suggestions? 8-]
