I’m trying to figure out how to accomplish something, and am having a great deal of trouble. Perhaps someone can help me out, or at least point me in the right direction.
I have a .csv file given to me by a client. The .csv is divided by columns in the following fashion:
Category Topic Word1 Word2 Word3 Word4 Word5
Food Eating Salad Fish Cabbage
I think you get the idea.
The goal is to have Word1, Word2, Word3, Word4, Word5 appear in text boxes on the screen. The user must “guess” the category based on these words. When they type in the answer…I need to be able to tell if they’ve typed the correct word, and give them “correct” as the result…or if they type a few letters of the category…give them a “not quite”…result.
Any clues on how I can do this? I’ve built out the interface in AS2 as that’s what I’m most familiar with…so if there’s a way to do this in AS2 that would be preferrable.
I can use XML as the solution, as I’ve got the .csv converted into an XML file. It would be preferrable to use mySQL…but the .csv is not formatted correctly, and I’m not too sure how to go about creating the tables based on what they sent me.
