Here’s a weird thing…my tools palette has become blank in Freehand. Rather than running vertically down the left side of my page area, it has become a wide blank rectangle - sometimes some of the tools show, but most often not, and I am unable to resize the palette shape in any way. The only way to get access to any of the tools is to drag and drop the whole palette above the page area so that the tools become part of the toolbar (horizontal). I have no idea how this happened. When I reset preferences to default - it does not fix the problem - my palettes are still wacky. I thought perhaps the program had become corrupted and was going to uninstall and then reinstall, BUT before I do that - I logged into another user profile on my computer (my boyfriend’s side of the PC) and when I launch Freehand on his side - everything is fine - tool palette vertical, resizeable, able to dock on horizontal toolbar, able to undock and become vertical again, etc. Which leads me to believe that the program is fine but my user preferences have become corrupted…? So my question is, is there a place on my PC where I can throw out my personal prefs for Freehand and make my user profile start fresh on my next launch/restart of Freehand to see if the tools come back and/or palettes appear correctly? I’m used to using Macs and being able to easily trash settings and start over, no need to uninstall before reinstall, etc. Not as good with troubleshooting things like this on PC platform. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
OR… would it be better to create a new profile for myself on the computer - move all my files over to it and then delete my old profile? I’m trying to avoid the drastic troubleshooting measures until I try the basic ones first. I already set my computer back 24 hours because the only irregular thing I did recently was opening an Illustrator file that displayed all funky last night thinking that that file corrupted me - so that I could restore to a time before I opened that file, but it did no good. Also ran a virus scan - nothing there… I’m still funky… ugh! Thanks in advance to anyone who can suggest anything!

P.S. All the tools palettes in Flash, Fireworks and Dreamweaver are fine, just Freehand is screwy for me (if this has any meaningful use in troubleshooting?) Thx! V
