Suggest some bands for me!

I’ve listened to nothing but Radiohead for the last month. I’m getting burnt out, but I love that style. Any suggestions?

I also like Portishead and They Might be Giants.

Thanks, through that I discovered Jonny Greenwood. He’s from Radiohead, but it seems like he does the trippy crap I like the most.

Dave Matthews (Band), Dispatch, Phish, (also said REM, Coldplay), Pearl Jam.

Type Radio Head in on pandora.com. There you go.

You mind-reader noob. :stuck_out_tongue: That’s what I was going to say

But seriously, pandora is the nest way to find new music. Especially if you listen to a genre that doesn’t really get much radio play, or isn’t very popular among your friends. I love it and it is how I learn about 90% of my music (well, atleast it was before I joined eMusic. They hardly have anything from major labels, so alot of the stuff I buy on eMusic is a “Oh, that looks good” type stuff because I have no idea what any of it is. Kind of a toss up whether it is good, but I digress)

Haujobb
Forma Tadre
Mentallo and the Fixers
Project Pitchfork
La Floa Maldita
Hooverphonic (Early Stuff with Liesje)
Del the Funky HomoSapien
System of a Down / Serj Tankian
Bjork
Front Line Assembly
Ministry
Anti-Flag
Dead Kennedys
Slayer

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Dead Kennedys, Anti-Flag or System of a Down on a list of recommended artists if you like Radiohead list before.

^Agreed… anti-flag doesn’t really fit in the same genera. I mean anti-flag is like punk not alt. rock. The rest speak for themselves.

I think his list just falls under the ‘required listening to really appreciate music’ category.

Pandora. Create a station with the bands you like.

Dear Pandora Visitor,

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative.

:hang:

^Proxy?

I wonder how it acts on the iPhone outside the US.

Dear Proxy Visitor,

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Proxy for proxyers located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Proxy, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative.

Yahoo Radio (but its only good if your ISP is Yahoo, if its not then it costs money… but yahoo’s is basically the same, but only works in IE browsers).

[whisper]Yahoo’s imo is better[/whisper]

He just said to suggest some bands. Genre be ■■■■■■, I don’t believe that music should be classified to so high a degree.
