I am kinda confused here. An article on Zeocarbon (activated charcoal) from Wikipedia states that Zeocarbon typically has a surface area in excess of 500 square meters per gram.
Here’s my question… How can 1 gram of a substance have that much surface area??? I’m not saying it’s not possible or that information provided is false, neither am I challenging any of it. Just asking how is it possible and what exactly is the surface area they’re talking about there?
Any chemistry experts here?
