.swf vs .html

hey i would like to know whats the quality difference between a .swf and a .htmlfile while publishing a movie?? i notice there is no difference there and iā€™m using the .swf format for my website. should i change it to .html or just use the existing .swf? and i got a slight problem everytime i change something to the site and publish it, the .swf just remains the same even though i made a big change there. please help! thank you!! :link: :beam:

When you use an HTML file, it embeds the .swf file INTO the .html file. This is how you are supposed to view the files.

Hey,
Your HTML file is what tells windows how to work and actually just hosts your SWF movie. This is where all of your size, quality, text in the movie (for search engines), etc. is layed out. The quality of your movie in HTML (which is still a SWF file) is described in your embed tag:

...quality="HIGH">

Stuff off of your stage may show up in a maximized window if you just call up a .SWF with IE.

Your other prob, erase your temp internet files.
I hope this helps!
