I did a little searching but can’t find my answer, so I’m going to make a fool out of myself and ask what seems to me a very obvious question that I should know the answer to already. 
After uploading my .swf files to a server, why oh why do they play sooo much faster if I access them by typing in “nameofmovie.swf” in the address bar as opposed to typing in my html and allowing them to be loaded externally? Alphas, tweens, everything is so much smoother if I’m looking at the actual .swf, instead of the html which loads the external .swf. This makes me rather unhappy.

Any enlightenment would be extremely appreciated. =)
