Now, I’m having problems getting a function linked to a button to run from anywhere else but the _root as it was to start with. I’m using a variation of the sliding menu as found on Kirupa. I’ve modded it to work vertically and have built a movieclip which slides up a few pixels (using tweens) to show some instructions on hover (I think this is part of my problem!). I’ve a few buttons at _root level which execute a slider which works fine BUT if I want (which I do!) a button to slide up the slder to live inside the MC which shows these instructions then no-go. Can anyone offer any help with this… (You can find the slider function in the actions layer on the _root timeline)
