Text and lines disappear in IE7

I’ve been creating this flash site for my company. My skills are merely intermediate, but I’m usually able to find a workaround for most problems where the normal solution would be too advanecd. In this case I’m stumped.

This flash site displays as it should in every browser I’ve tried, with the exception of Internet Explorer. When I view it in IE7 (on PC), all the text and lines are invisible. Only the text that had been broken apart remains visible.

Compare how it looks in Firefox against how badly it displays in Explorer. It ain’t good.

At first I assumed it was only an issue caused by not embedding all the fonts…but if that were the case why would many of the lines disappear as well? I understand IE has known issues with displaying flash, but I’ve yet to find any information as to what’s causing it, and how I might try to fix it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Some possibly related information:

  • The site was started in MX2004 and later converted to Flash 8.
  • When exporting my FLA to SWF the progress bar always freezes up right around the 20% mark. It stays this way for about 10-15 minutes, after which it comes back to life and continues its progress. Obviously the export process hits a snag on a specific element in the fla.

Ideas?
