Prologue
The story begins with Kyle Shaw sitting at home on his computer surfing the internet. He suddenly hears a large bang outside and is startled by this. He is very confused and goes to investigate. He opens the front door to the house to see what all the commotion is only to find that there are robots relentlessly slaughtering people everywhere. He’s like WTF. Kyle Shaw looks to his right outside the front door and finds that there is a destroyed robot. He realizes that the explosion must have come from this robot because there was a huge blast mark on the house. He sees that all the robots have futuristic laser weapons and looks back down at the destroyed robot. Kyle is excited to find that the destroyed robot’s gun did not carry the same fate. He takes the gun and steps back to think about his next actions.
Caught Somewhere in Time
Kyle Shaw can’t just sit around while countless numbers of neighbors are getting murdered. Fearing that the robots might be elsewhere and remembering the tips from the book How to Survive a Robot Uprising, Kyle Shaw decides to fight these robot minions. With the knowledge of the robots and a handy new weapon, Kyle feels that the robots are not much of a threat to him. Kyle Shaw takes a look at the environment and notice that all the robots seem to be coming from Normandy High School. He wants to put a stop to the madness so he begins to fight his way to the school, destroying many robots along the way and not stopping to ask questions.
The robots masses seem to be endless. Fearing that there is no hope, Kyle Shaw gets discouraged. Moments later, he sees where the robots are coming from. To him, it seems like they are coming from a strange vortex. Not knowing what to do about this, Kyle Shaw goes to the portal fighting even more robots along the way. The robots are very simple in design, looking as though they were so mass produced, that materials for their construction became scarce. This benefits Kyle Shaw because he is easily able to take care of the robots before their numbers grow to an unreasonable amount.
Kyle Shaw reaches the rift and decides to investigate it. It was near the entrance to the school. As he gets closer, a flash appears and a figure emerges. A strange cyborg comes out of the portal. The mysterious half-man says “I am General Titan, leader of the robot rebellion. Your feeble race will be no longer!” Kyle Shaw fights this strange futuristic man. Having lived in the area, Kyle Shaw has an advantage because he knows how to find cover. Kyle Shaw hides behind the welcome sign and cars in the parking lot giving him the edge he needs to defeat this cyborg infiltrator. It doesn’t take long for Kyle Shaw to defeat General Titan. As Kyle Defeats the cyborg, he puts the pistol to General Titan’s head and asks “What the **** is going on?” As General Titan begins to reply, a blast comes from the distance straight into General Titan’s head, destroying it instantly. the man that shot him comes up to Kyle Shaw. They go back to Kyle Shaw’s house.
Awakening the Beast
Upon returning to Kyle Shaw’s house, the strange man explains that he is Dr. Zeit and that the robots are from the future. Dr. Zeit was trying to close the time portal from which the evil robots have come from. Kyle Shaw asks why this is happening. Dr. Zeit starts telling a story.
"15 years ago I was in my lab working on a revolutionary Time Forge. This device could open a portal to a point in time… In theory. As I finally completed my device and tested it for the first time, it seemed to work flawlessly. I could see a portal begin to open as my eyes lit up with joy. Suddenly an explosion occurred destroying the time forge and knocking me unconscious. When I awoke, I saw a mysterious man amongst the wreckage who was very wounded.
I had know Idea who this mysterious person was, so I nursed him back to health. The mysterious man claimed to not remember anything about where he was from or who he was. I soon realized that this man must have come through the time portal that was opened. I told the ‘Time Man’ that he was from another point in time and that the device used to bring him here was destroyed. I told him that the Time Forge would need to be rebuilt to have the ‘Time Man’ return back to his time. He devoted himself to helping me rebuild my machine.
Many of the plans for the machine were destroyed in the explosion. Luckily, after explaining the secrets of time travel, the ‘Time Man’ had ideas of his own design for the Time Forge. He came up with a way to have the machine open a portal to any desired point in time as opposed to a random point. This is something I was not able to accomplish. The “Time Man’ was very intelligent, but something never quite sat right in my gut. I always got the feeling that he had other motives other than to return to his unknown period of time.
After 15 years, the Time Forge was finally rebuilt. It required many painstaking hours, but it was finally complete. The hour was late and we decided to activate the Time Forge the next morning. As I was asleep, I heard a rumble where the Time Forge was. I went to investigate and came to discover that the ‘Time Man’ was not alone. He had used the Time Forge to create an army of soldiers in time. He had an evil laugh and said “Fool! I will now rule the world with the Time Forge!” I realized that I could not fight them myself and escaped to a hideaway.
The ‘Time Man’ had opened nine portals around the world with the Time Forge. All opened gateways to different periods in time. I knew I could not stop the ‘Time Man’ so I would try the next best thing. Knowing the physics behind the portals, I made a device that could close each time portal manually. I named the device the Time Terminator. I will use this device to close the portal in your town, but there are 8 more remaining around the world. I am too old to take on such an adventure. I need someone else to take my stead.”
Kyle Shaw agrees to take on this adventure. This adventure was the kind that he always dreamed of having. The dream has now become a reality. Creatures and people from all periods of time are devastating the world and it must be stopped!
