Hi guys, i got a little problem with the kirupa shine effect tutorial. i followed it step by step, but instead of drawing a shape to be masked a used a photo.jpg
Everything was alright till i tested it, my photo disappeared. I just can see the shine effect but not the photo. i did it for about 5 times as same as the tutorial but got not results.
If somebody knows where is the problem please help.
thanks!
Hmmm, I don’t know what the problem could be but if you’d like you can post your file here and I would take a look at.
By the way I’m using Flash MX, not 2004.
I also got that happening when I imported something for Adobe. Wouldn’t do it. I think that it has something to do with the image not being the right properties somehow. Like how you can draw a circle or rectangle in Flash and it’ll work, but if you import a jpeg in, it doesn’t. I’m guessing there’s something that you can do after you import to fix that… but I’ve never figured it out. Maybe “Break Apart”?? Dunno, I’m still a bit of a newbie.
Did you mask the shape of the object in your picture instead of the “shine”
I did the same tutorial a little bit ago and it went off without a hitch.
Just make sure that you have your photo not masked (that is unless it needs a seperate mask)
Also would look at your file or if you have a link.
Good Luck
Case
Here is the file…
:h:
Where’s the .jpg… or is it that bar?
Anyway, I’m not really sure what you’re trying to do so I just copied the ‘Shape’ and placed it beneath the mask layers (see file).
Thanks very much Halo2, now i realize where the problem was. It works ok now.
I just have one more question: i need to apply the effect on a jpg. then i need that the effect will occur once, and after 30 seconds once again. let’s say one time, each 30 seconds . Do you have any idea to how to do that?
