The State of Kirupa: My fellow Flashers,

there’s been a great injustice…

just getting ready for the state of the union…

Actually I’m inquiring about where to go (E-Geek my man) to do a certain effect or maybe action script…

Onload, I’m wanting the background to DRAW a pipeline type texture. So, basically I’ll have 3 pipes or so super imposed on the bg while loading trailing down the screen in a guide layer (I think)…

Now setting the alpha to say (runs random % function) 52%, I should get the desired effect but… yep… guess what. I don’t…

How do I make it look smooooth… I mean like my sweet ladies summer tanned legs?

I want it to look easy… Mine looks like the work of a burly lumberjack… choppy choppity chop…

So key here… smooth like buttah…
not so much chop chop

now that we’re visualizing help a brother out… could be future brother-in-law… is your sister cute? smooth maybe? not answering… ummm … okay…

I digress.

Up your FPS.

Go to Modify/Document and change the default 12 Frame Per Secton rate to a higher number.

Usually somewhere between 20 and 30 are used, but beware that the higher it is, slower machines may not see it that fast.

But upping the FPS rate creates a smoother transition.

I believe 32 fps is the magic number :ninja:
