Decided to learn php so bought the ‘PHP and MySQL Web Development’ book (Sams) from the store yesterday. here’s the problem for me :
i have already installed Apache and MySQL, but the problem surfaced when i came to this section called “adding php and MySQL to Microsoft IIS” (p886)
i havent got this, Internet Information Services, on my machine, and i couldnt find a way to get a hold of it elsewhere.
is it needed ? where can i get it ? is following the book’s installation explanations okay, or is there a better way to go about this ?
quite keen to crack on with some work / study, but this first day held up by this problem.
any ideas - thanks a lot. fumbling in the dark as usual.
