Tips on drawing stars or light points?

Hello, I am trying to draw the little stars… or light points that you see all the time… kind of like what they have on their logo here…

Mine alway look like a big star of davd or something…

anyone know how they make them look so cool?

I always draw a couple of traingles and put one upside down… and then make the alpha about 30%…but that sucks…

The ones I see have a nice blur to them…

the one on that site looks like it was drawn in photoshop, and made into a movieclip, with fading.

I’ve always been a fan of the 5 pointed star myself, although it is hard to create from scratch. I make mine with maths.
