Tonypa tile based enemy

i need some help
but it doesnt play the animation…

making my enemy smarter
right now if it steps on my square i set it up so that everything isnt unloaded like in his tutorials but the enemy goes to its attack frame

id like it so that if i am within 10 tiles of it will move to me and play its attack animation

all i need help with is the within 10 tiles and makin it move towards me

how would i do that

im using tonypas tile engine

like could someone update his function for a bullet
into a function for swinging a sword? please

can someone take a crack at this? considering it would be useful to many ppl out there cause im sure alot of ppl want to remake zelda or sumn dumb instead of there own game

but im doing my own game
its native american style too

I don’t see how you can’t figure out it, or even why you would use a shoot command for a sword

im not using a shoot command for a sword i have it set to where if i press a my char attacks and if i press d he kicks

but i can figure out how to make my enemy react to this im stuck in a loophole
