Transparancy, without HTML... :)

Hello.

I will try to be brief.

I am hoping to determine if it is possible to have a transparant background in a swf without using HTML params to define it. I am fairly competent with HTML, but this does not suit my needs. I am hoping to use this in avatars etc for forums where I cannot alter the HTML housing the flash.

Much thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction.

Cheers!

Nobody knows? Even if it’s completely impossible, I would like to know, so I can end this fruitless search.

Ahh well… Thanks anyways.

I don’t think it’s possible without the use of HTML, but I’m sure its been asked before.

ahh. Well I’m sorry if this has been adressed in the past. I did a quick search and found nothing of interest.

I remain hopeful for a solution, but I think you may be right.

One last bump… I know you say it’s been addressed, but I’ve been searching for an answer to this question for months… and I can’t just give up so easily. I will abandon this thread after this post. Thanks anyways Kirupa Forum!

well, you can make flash content transparent with Quicktime features me thinks, never done. but have seen it. It more like a projector than for a web based project though.
