Transparent Text Box?

Is it possiable to make a semi Transparent Text Box you you can see the backfround a little but also at the same time see the text? if so, how?

You have to use Static Text.

Create your text box. Now click on your text box and open the properties panel (CTRL+F3). In the drop down box choose “Static”

Now select your text box again and then press F8 on your keyboard.

Convert this to a movie clip symbol.

Now select your movie clip symbol on the stage and open the properties panel, then in the drop down box that says “none” choose “Alpha” and adjust as needed.
