hey, I’m having trouble getting the background of a .jpg to cooperate with me in Illustrator. I knocked out the bg of a photo in ps by deleting the white background but when I brought it into illustrator and tried to overlay it on another layer, the bg didn’t come thru as transparent. next I tried creating an alpha channel on the image and importing it into illustrator as a .psd file, and that didn’t work either.
am I doing something wrong? or is there a certain step I’m skipping in order to get raster images into illustrator w/o their background?
