It’s by Matt Mullenweg, the WP guy, and it can check for spam really, really well.
If there isn’t already a vBulletin plugin for this, you should either make one or request it, Kirupa.
It’d be awesome. It’d instantly remove like all spam from this site. (I haven’t gotten a single spam message on my blog since I started using it a while back, and it can be used for any type of content…)
If the spam on the forums becomes a major problem, then I will look into it. Out of the thousand new posts made daily, maybe one or two messages every few days are categorized as blatant spam. It is probably overkill to install a spam-filtering program for such a minor issue :glasses:
Oh definitely, but with vBulletin, any update or modification makes it more difficult for me to upgrade and maintain future versions of vB. Unless a feature is essential, I try to not add it in for the forums.
