Turn off the link button sound?

um…you know when you click a link on ie or whatever, it makes that click sound. how do i turn that off? it’s so annoying.

one way I think you could do it is go to you tools-> internet options -> advanced tab then deselect the box that says “enable sounds on web pages”. I’m not sure if that will work since I’ve never tested it but logically I think it would.

it doesn’t seem to work

bah figures :frowning: oh well.

go to control panel–>Sounds and Audio Devices

Click on the Sounds tab up top

In the “program events” scroll box scroll down to the “windows explorer” section. remove the sound from “start navigation”

BOOM! that should do it…if not, it’s in there somewhere

things stick after awhile…plus i work part time as a computer tech in the summer, so i’ve picked up a lot that way.

i’m glad i could help
