Following the continuous movement tutorial http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/continuousmovement.htm
I have run into a problem at the point below - can someone help please?

iii. After you made the circle a movie clip, right click on the circle and select Actions:
Copy and paste the following code into your Actions dialog box:…

I have copied this but don’t understand specifically where it is meant to go. I tried pasting it into the Movie clip control > onClip event section but when I published the move it didn’t work. I downloaded the tutorial .fla file but couldn’t see any reference to this particular code in the Actions.

Hope someone can explain this, probably, simple point, Thanks

The code provided takes care of everything, all you have to do is right click the movieclip, click Actions and cop/paste it in that frame :slight_smile:

Thanks for that - I’ve got it working but when I Publish Preview to HTML it plays the movie once and then stops. Is there a way around that?

What do you mean ? The movement stops ? Or your movie ?

Once the objects have done one cycle (ie. moved from left to right once) they stop and don’t appear again. I’ve tried it as a swf preview with loop control on and get the same thing.

Can you post your fla so we can have a look at what’s happening ?
