Hey all,
I am having a big problem with anti-aliasing (I think??!!).
I am drawing rectangles in Flash, with a corner radius of “5”. My problem now arises when I test the movie in Flash, the corners look horrible and blurry. They look even worse if I test the movie in a broswer (IE6). I have this problem with a lot of shapes in Flash, What needs to be done to fix this??
check if it happens on your machine only … or on other’s machines too
you may need to reinstall your video drivers or get a new video card … aside from that i’m not sure what to tell you
i hope this helps
Thanks
It is a laptop so maybe that is where the problem lies.
I dont have access to another machine, but will see what I can do.
post your file here or a link to it … i’ll take a look and let you know if it’s jagged or not
Here is the .fla,
You will notice(or I did) that around the borders the undesired effect is happening, also on the text boxes that pop up.
Any other design tips will be much appreciated, it is for my online portfolio that I am busy with.
Thanks mate!
looks fine to me.
so i would look into upgrading or updating the drivers on your computer =)
one design note:
it’s a fun site with a good youthful appearance which i think is effective for what i’m assuming your target market is. but if you plan to use this professionally or as a tool to get a job i would consider using a different picture of yourself. a picture of you smoking while it’s not inherently bad it portrays an image that may not fare you well in business.
keep it fun, and personal but don’t play up qualities like smoking, gambling, or drinking. such images never create any good results in the world of business.
hope this helps.
good luck
Thanks,
I was actually wondering whether the smoking thing was a good idea,
Thanks for taking a look.
anytime =)
