My client is an early stage cleantech startup developing energy-efficient commercial lighting control systems. As a small startup team, they are interested in hiring creative and extraordinarily talented individuals who can scale themselves to the task at hand, make solid contributions daily, and fit in and surf well in a company culture that values integrity, dynamic disruption, and success in equal parts.
The UI/Flex Developer will be driven to create compelling and easy-to-use UIs that raise the bar and exceed expectations, which means experience in look and feel customization and skinning, and an appreciation of the tiny details like feedback and animation that make all the difference in how an interface comes across to the user. You will need to able to incorporate input from many users into an evolving UI design.
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Flex development experience
- 3+ years experience developing enterprise web applications, commercial desktop apps, or management consoles
- OO design experience
- Demonstrated ability to design and build exceptional, cutting edge GUIs that are highly usable
- Great eye and design sense; simplicity should be at the core of your design aesthetic
- Team player; can work with other UI developers to create a consistent, unified result
- Comfortable learning new technology and expanding their skill set
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Additional Qualifications:
- Web 2.0 app dev experience using CSS
- Experience creating custom mxml and ActionScript-only components using the flex 4.0 spark framework
- Graphic design experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, etc
- Usability testing experience
