I have a problem with Firefox displaying a file in a UILoader. It shows up fine in IE, but does not show up at all in Firefox. Firefox just continues to say it is Transfering data…
It is a very simple flash document. Just a single frame, drop a UILoader on it, set the parameter for the source, to a jpg file that is located in the same directory. That is it.
If I preview the movie in Flash CS3, it works fine. If I publish the file, then open the html file in IE or Firefox, it is fine, it displays the jpg. But if I put the files on the server, and look at it with IE, it works fine, it shows the jpg. But Firefox does not show the jpg. It just keeps saying that it is “Transfering data…”. Any ideas? Anyone ever seen this? I am running Firefox 2, on Windows Vista with the latest flash plugin from the Adobe website.
I also have another problem with IE7, Vista and Flash. Where it seems to drop characters that I type on the keyboard. Quite annoying. Anyone ever seen this? Does not happen in other programs.
If you want to look at the test I put on the server, it is at:
