Unexpected file format

Hia all,

I’m getting an ‘Unexpected file format!’ alert when I try to open my downloaded .fla files from the tutorials - both the photo gallery on this site and others. The files seem to download fine, but I just can’t open them.

could it be anything to do with xml? I shouldn’t think so.

I’ve found tutorials here very useful, thanks

could be the version of flash - the flas may be mx 2004, or even flash 8…if your using only mx you cant open more recent versions…

i use mx 2004 - i get it all the time too :frowning:
