Unwanted flickering objects question


Have a problem, i’ll try to over descibe it a bit here but anyway.

I have a simulation where I have amovie clip instance thats basically a filled circle with a second layer inside thats a gradiated fill (black 100%-> grey 0%), the gradiated fill layer rotates towards a fixed point on the canvas which gives the effect of the the circle looking like a sphere with a shadow on it (think dark side of the moon). The problem is as this object is actionscript around the canvass using glorified _x++/y++ functions, the object flickers as if it is moving back a frame then jumping forward 2 frames. This jerky movement must be stopped at all costsC:-) , Strangely though when i zoom in when the movie is playing the object behaves smoothly and normally.

Any ideas…?
