I’m trying to build a little application that would sit on our server and allow anyone working in the editing suite (this is a production office) to basically with a single click of a button encode and broadcast whatever he’s working on. The idea being he could show the boss the work he’s done even if he’s away. The Flash Media Live Encoder seemed perfect for this but from what I can see it only supports live webcam feeds as supposed to static video files (that are not already encoded as flv).
Note that it would be much better if it could broadcast the file as it was encoding it as a lot of the files take several hours to encode to flv otherwise.
Any ideas welcome!
