Hi all - I need to figure out how to build a flash video player, that would allow the end-user (someone w/ NO Flash exp.) to upload videos to the site - once uploaded, the videos would then be accessible via an interactive map.
Each vid. corresponds w/ a point on the map. When the client reaches that point on the map (they’ll be driving cross country) - they’ll upload a vid. from that location (via FTP, etc) and it will then (and only then) be accessible from the map. Before that, the city / location would not be displayed. So the map / player needs to be triggered by the client uploading content. Before it’s uploaded, certain locations aren’t there. Once uploaded, they appear on the map - and when clicked, a video (or several videos) would play.
I don’t need really technical info - but would really appreciate if anyone could at least confirm that :
- yes, this is certainly doable and
- maybe some broad strokes of what would need to be done to make this happen
