Hi,
I have tried using the chromeless popup from http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/chromeless.htm and it works perfectly in all versions of IE. However in netscape, although the popup opens, no content appears (It also has the title bar, but that is not a major problem)
Is there any way to get the content to appear in netscape - maybe by using some sort of browser detection?
The only glaring problem with this cool effect is that you have to use Internet Explorer. Users with Netscape or Mozilla browsers are out of luck.
Chromeless windows are known to be very uncompatible. If you don’t want to exclude a major part of your audience, I’d suggest you go for another solution. You could use the chromeless window for IE and a normal window for Mozilla, by browser checking. However, I think the best solution would be to drop the chromeless window.
