I am not certain I am posting this in the right forum, as I have been spending most of my agony with this in the Flash 8 forum trying to figure out why my Flash Form using php to send is not working. Well finally I come across some info that says (my summary) Hey dummy maybe your hosting server does not even accept php, and I find another tutorial that gives you simple instructions on how to test for this. Sure enough nothing can go through so I have wasted a few hours trying to make something work that is not going to.
So next I trying logging into the godaddy account and it says that you need to first connect using mySQL or something? As I am sure you can tell I am not much of a developer. I can follow steps very well, but I am not at all familiar with php, sql and am feeling that there has to be a simple way for me to get a basic contact form to work.
Enough of my long winded explaining. What I am looking for is some step by step dummy proof instructions on how to set up a contact form (I can make it in Flash and embed on my html page in Dreamweaver, that much I have accomplished) and make it work when the site is being hosted on a godaddy (I believe it is a Linux) server.
If anyone can refer me to this I would be very appreciative. Also, if I am in the wrong forum can a mod please move me to the right place. Thank you!
