First post… please be gentle.
I’m currently putting together a multiple photo gallery with Flash and XML.
The photo galleries are vertically postioned on top of each other.
So one collection has a large area for the image, and little thumbnails underneath, which you can click to change the image in the large area.
So far I have Flash reading the XML, creating the photo galleries based on the number of XML nodes, then it creates the thumbnails.
My problem is this, due to the dynamic nature of all this actionscript jiggerypockery, I can’t seem to preload anything, as I don’t know how to reference it, I’d like the first choice in the gallery to come up at the beginning, also I’d like the images to fade in, and again, I don’t know how to reference it.
My files are attached, they are a result of looking through the many Photo Gallery threads and tutorials on the great site, and a sprinkling of my own Flash knowledge.
Any help would be greatly appricated.
