hello… I’m recreating an xml menu inspired by podlob.com/download/xmlmenu.zip…
I’m wondering if anyone can help to change the menu to a horizontal menu with the same submenu animated dropdowns… so basically, I need the main categories to go accross the top and the rest work the same.
can anyone help me?

Anyone have ideas on how to make the selected item stay in the down state until another item is selected.
First of all, let me thank you Lindquist for giving this wonderfull menu. I want to use it for a project I’m working on but I’ve got a few questions regarding my swf. If anyone could help I’d be more than gratefull and will buy you a beer! I modified lindquist menu into a horizontal menu, but now with the sub items also horizontal instead of vertical.
(see below)First of all, I want to create a animation (by tween) for the Menu item: When a user rolls over the items, The grey color will turn into white. This way the user knows which menu item is selected. If I change the dynamic text in the ‘item’ movieclip into another movieclip (used for the tween) the xml doesnt get parsed into this text. Does anyone has a solution for this problem?
Next thing is the positioning of the subitems: i just cant see where the definition of the x is in the script of lindquist. As you all can see in the swf, the first menu item shift about 10 pixels to the right. How to solve this? Thanks anyways for reading this post =]
Actually, i want to have the sub-menu’s all positioned at the most left of the orginal menu item (aligned left)… anyone?
