Very slow to download

Hi,

I have used the preloader and it is working, but in internet, the swf dowloads so slow that even the preloader doesnt show up.

Is there any other way to overcomethis, my swf file is 2.3 MB, I know it’s big and I already did minimise everything to reduce the file size.

I mean is there any way to use the preloader in different file showing the progress while the movie is dowloading in separate file.

Umm there can be chances that the file doesn’t end up loading sometimes depending on your host, so thats risky sometimes…

You are talking about loading one part of the movie then playing while loading part 2?

If not… just make a mini game thats appealing w/ highscores and what not. It always does the trick :slight_smile:

well,

the movie is in one file but it is just too big and even the preloader cant be displayed so theres no point.

So I am thinking probably I can separate the movie into 2 files ,have the preloader running while the rest of the other movie file are downloading.

The movie is continously so I dont think I can part it into separate files.

I really need help on this :frowning:

if the preloader’s not showing up, put it in the first couple frames by itself with no graphics or anything else.
