Video for 16 bit Color Depth

Hi All,

I’ve been working on a website that uses an animation generated in 3ds max and exported to quicktime. I also tried rendering to TGA files (at 16 bit color depth) and creating a flv from after effects…

so basically, let’s start with the fact that i have a quicktime movie.

I integrated the video into Flash and was successful with that. BUT when viewing the video in 16 bit color depth settings (of my monitor), the colors are much more choppy - but only in the swf. When i view the video on the stage by movie the playhead (or open it with the quicktime player), the video seems fine, but once i create the swf file, it’s screwed up and a lot of quality loss!

is this a flash bug? is there a way around this? does anyone have any experience with this? what am i to do!? Of course, I can change to 32 bit and everything looks great, but what about the people that don’t have their monitor settings set to 32 bit?

Thanks for anything that might help me solve this!
