Video in adobe after effects....PLEAS HELP!

hey im not sure if this is the right forum for this but i just got adobe after effects…i amdoing this small project…i have a still image for about 3 seconds than a video…but when i export the video along with the image at the begining the sound is bad…kinda fast and at the wrong time…can any one help me??
