Hello, I’m new at flash. I followed one of your tutorials and thats the first time i’ve ever used it, so my knowledge about what it can even do is…non-existant. I had previously made a .avi intro to my site with Sony’s Vegas 4.0 and embedded it into my web page. I’ve seen lots of cool flash intros though and wanted to try one of those. When I followed your Video in Flash MX 2004 tutorial the results were horrable.
I followed your tutorial and inserted video, then saved it. But it turned out to be almost 7 megs, my original .avi file is only 4 megs. The flash video has horrible quality, its extremely choppy, and it almost doubled in size! (compared to my divx .avi). I didn’t even add anything to it. I was hoping to add a cool menu & buttons at the end of the video to navigate into my site, but the results are all ready bad.
I assumed quality would be worse, but i also expected a much smaller file size.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
