Video won't play in Front Page Web as shown in book?

In Chapter 5 in the book it has me download the files and I insert the video avi file into a blank page. In the Normal Mode I get a frozen Kangaroo, but in the preview mode I get a white box with a windows looking icon.
What could be the problem?

Thanks…

Hey Barry,
When you go to File | Preview in Browser and press Preview, do you see the movie play at that time?

Thanks,
Kirupa

Your right, from file… preview in browser it works.
The only time it does not, is when I use the preview tabe at the bottom of Front Page.
Is there a reason why the preview tab acts differently?

Not really sure why. If I had to guess, it would probably be because Preview uses FrontPage’s own built-in media player to view the movie. If you have other programs such as RealPlayer, QuickTime, and Windows Media Player configured to play the same video file, FrontPage may choke. Internet Explorer usually defaults to Windows Media Player (shocked!!), so you and your visitors should little problems viewing the movie in Internet Explorer.

I’m not 100% sure that is the reason why, but that seems to be the most logical answer I could come up with =) If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to ask!

Cheers!
