Watermarking images with flash MX

i have a website which hosts an image gallery

i would just like to throw in a little watermark on each image as it is viewed, preferably not permanently on the image, but rendered dynamically

how can flash aid me in doing this?

Just make text on the bottom right or wherever of the image (if that part of the image doens’t move… can I see your site?

now, that’s what i figured
but that would leave the picture embeded into the flash movie
i want people to be able to right-click and save the image, so i guess either a flash solution that allows this, or a html solution that is driven by flash will work

maybe i’m asking the wrong question :confused:

i dont have my gallery up yet (the site is going to be up at www.deletetree.com)

i do however have some of my galleries up on another site, http://TorontoNightClub.com/gallery/albuo69

i want to do something like that

just throw a bunch of images in a directory and have flash do everything for me automatically…
though this page (TNC) isn’t done in flash, i want to do something like it in flash… but i want the images to be downloadable with ease…

Hah… cool, I live in Toronto!

Just to clear some things up heh:

  1. Flash can’t edit any image unless done manually :, which means you would have to break-up the image and add the text in it (mistake me if i’m wrong please).
  2. You can’t right click -> save image but you can set up the image name as a download some how.
  3. I am currently working on a project like which you said: “just throw a bunch of images in a directory and have flash do everything for me automatically…”! Thats what puters are made for heh, automation!

So, I don’t know if I can help you much further… wait for someone more knowledgable than me to post :wink:
