[FONT=arial]The powers at be where I work have become quite interested about building mobile apps, primarily web pages that masquerade as mobile apps. Unfortunately I only dabble in web site construction these days so the questions that have been loaded into the cannon and fired at me have gone beyond my expertise - which is graphic design.

So I was wondering if the helpful folks here at kirupa.com could give me a few pointers.
I’ve been racking my brain about how to hide the web browser interface, so that the web pages look more “app like” rather than an app inside a web browser. Next I’ve been trying to figure out how some apps from the web are “installed” from the providers web page, instead of from the “walled garden” of apple or android…?
Any hints or tips, will be greatly appreciated.[/SIZE]
