if you go to http://summitpcg.com/focus.html or any other page on there, in firefox there is a purple small box to the right of the nav bar that i cant get rid of. in IE it isn’t there. the container for the flash file is 140 px in height, and the flash file is 135 px which leaves 5 px at the bottom. i cant figure out where the extra mark is coming from. any help?

hmm neither one worked. its a really weird bug. i cant seem to track it down
Here is your issue:

it didnt change anything. i think i tried something similar to that but doesnt work.
Deleting that line fixed the Firefox problem for me.
when i delete that line the weird part goes away but so does the purple bg underneath the flash.
heres a pic
Then add a bottom border and remove the padding-bottom:
border-bottom:4px solid #333366;

width:750px;
If you need that padding, add padding-top to the div you are wanting it to affect.
awesome thanks actionaction! it is now fixed in firefox, but now IE shows a gap. i tried margin-bottom: 0; but still has a gap
use the ie hack and set a separate set of rules for that in your file if the browser is ie.
