What ever happen to were-here.com?

I remember about a year or 2 ago it use to pump! I mean seriously there would be sooo many flashers on.

What happen?

Never heard of it… but then again two years ago I had never heard of Flash either, so I’m sure some of these Flash “veterans” know what it is.

if i remember correctly i think their site was hacked and something about one of the main peoples had a car accident… hmm ok dont quote me, im testing my memory here. lol

yeah I noticed it’s in a slump at the moment too and I remember the car crash as well.

Hopefully it’ll be back, it was a good site

Following all that though, the site was sponsored by erain and reopened

WH is back and strong buddy

I think its a bit smaller and slower, but still alive. I post in their Mac section all the time.

yeah site is wayyy to slow now.

what do you mean one of the main peoples?? why would that have a effect on the site? now the hackin i can understand…

I was all about WH back in the day. Thats where I started. What happened was server/hosting problems in combination of the car accident. You never knew when it was going to be online and then one day is was out for good. It was like that for months and months til, as mentioned, it resurfaced backed by erain and using some script-happy board system which was slow and confusing compared to vB. It had to many popups and too much this and that - some of the features were nice, but all in all it made for a crappy come back. Most of the people had since left and really the attitude of the forums as a whole went to crap town (actually I believe this was happening before it had the big crash and came back under erain).

Eh, could care less now. Kirupa is my new home.

I used to love those forums at WH, so many posts, such talented folks. I discovered a whole lot of things about AS reading up on the questions that people posted there. They had a much darker website than they do now.

me too. WH was my #1. takes to long to get replies now. WH should go out of business.
