I want something that is minimal and succinct.
I have computer graphics principles and practice third edition by hughes et al (biggest mistake of my life was not getting hearn/baker instead of this). This books is absolutely trash. It is for extreme professionals only. Not beginners.
Then I have computer graphics by samit bhattacharya from IIT Guwahati. I liked his videos that is why I purchased his book. But I am pretty disappointed with the book as it seems more like a copy paste regurgiation from well known popular books. So it offers no value. It seems like this is the first edition and stuffs are lots of errata here and there.
but i am using it as a way of knowing what topics to study and what not to study.
these are the topics that i want to learn:
- parametric cubic curve
- boundary representation
- blending function
- spline
- b-spline
- cubic bezier curve
- de casteljau algorithm
I am stuck between various online references since 3 days. I cannot understand most books like peter shirley etc. I want something that is digestible by my brain. I neither could find slides for these topics that went in greater detailing.
