I have a really stupid question … what does deprecated mean ?
I’m dutch and i have quite a big english knowledge but I can’t figure out the meaning of deprecated.

… it doesnt mean necessarily that it wont work though. It probably will, but chances are it might not in later versions. Its like a mid-way point for changing how you do things. Flash used to use these to do this, but now it uses these. Those old ones will still work… for now, but we want you to use the new ones. That makes the old ones “deprecated”
don’t feel bad… I am 8th Generation American, and I was 35 yrs old before I even heard the word…
