Hey. Over the past year or so, I’ve been seing this art style on websites and advertisments and bilbords and everything, but I cant find any information about it or even if it is a recognized trend or even a name. But I know its totally a recognizable style that is activly being used all over.
It seems to like jagged edges and paint drops and splatters. Different monotone objects tinted to one color against backgrounds and other objects tinted another. It has thick uneven white borders around objects, as if they were cut out from paper and glued onto the page. G4/TechTV likes to use this alot and has an animated form on the intro for Attack of the Show, among others. It often has like, radiating lines from a center point like rays of light going off in all directions as you might see on an Old Japanese flag.
Here are a bunch of links to things in this style. If any one has any kind of information about it, please let me know.
